I have always wanted to have the opportunity to go to Photography Workshops around the world to learn everything I can and maybe provide reviews to magazines and my blog public about those workshops. Are you a parent of multiples?

Did you know that April is National Multiples Awareness Month? In honor I am offering free sessions to anyone with twins, triplets, quadruplets, ...... need I say it- even octuplets :). In addition to a free session, you also get a free 11x14 with your order.
As a Mom of twins myself- I know how difficult it is to take your Multiples to the Studio- my sessions are relaxed, in either an outdoor setting or indoors in case of inclement weather (like we are having today :) )
The children play and interact and I shoot around them, guiding gently with suggestions.
Since I can relate, I will also offer this deal throughout the rest of 2009- since it is still difficult to take your multiples to a photographer no matter what time of the year it is.

Matilda Jane Trunk Show- Austin, TX March 1, 2009

That is right- I got the first Trunk Show date of the new Hot Line Collection from Matilda Jane. For those who have not seen these clothes- they are gorgeous- and perfect not only for portraits for going out and about. I own several of the pieces from the Fall collection- check this out:
While this is not the most technically perfect picture- it does have all 4 of them looking and looking so cute in their Matilda Jane (yes- the boys are wearing the Mr Lucas shirts from MJ)
If you are interested in coming to the Trunk show it will be Sunday March 1st at the Bright Horizons on Braker Ln in Austin at 2:30pm. Come and see the brand new collection- I can't wait. And I am setting up my photography lights so there are pictures involved!

Matilda Jane Portraits

Okay- these did not turn out as well as I had hoped- I took over 150 photos and every single one of them the focus grabbed the clothes and not the kids faces. I know it has to do with contrast- but I was very frustrated. I am posting these only because my family is clamoring for new pics.

I am going to have to retake these, and try harder to get the right focus. I really want to do justice to the clothes- and the kids! And Doda Dorit- Ari was not cooperative- that is why he is only in the group shot- and bribed to stay there by singing Modei Ani.

bad me- I have soooo many pictures taken- but not edited! Let alone resized to put on the web. I am working full time and so busy in the evenings with the kids, going to Body Jam at the Gym, and trying to get some crafting done (I am making my first quilt- see my other blog http://www.imalearba.blogspot.com/) I just can't seem to eek out any time to edit. I love how Yael and Itai are positioned and I love that they are all looking and I love their outfits- Yay Denise for sending those to us!

How excited was I to get to shoot my first wedding this weekend at Padre Island! I had not met the family or the bride and groom before that day. I was thrilled to find that Sabrina and Mike, and infact the entire wedding party is gorgeous. They were up for anything. These are the few I have edited so far- although I took over 916 photos and my friend Sheri took over 300.

This beautiful sweet girl was the most perfect newborn anyone could ask for- she stayed curled- she didn't care what we did- she slept the whole time! And she didn't pee on any of my rugs or backdrops! So here are two so far- I will post the rest when I complete the post processing.

Here's Ari at 2 and a half at the Wild Basin Preserve. He went up and down the hiking trails including a rocky descent and ascent to see a small waterfall. He kept up no problem, he wasn't even breathing hard- but I was :)

Keep watching my blog- I am going to be making some big announcements soon. On top of that I will be taking the school portraits for my childrens daycare- Bright Horizons!
Not only that, but I will be exhibiting at a conference here in Austin! I have so many ideas for displays and products. My goal: Show that I present a quality product and that I am the Go To for those items you can't find anywhere else!

Have you ever seen such cuteness? Ari's teacher- Ms Melody put pigtails in the girls hair, it was so adorable. Yaels were the tiniest pigtails I have ever seen.

I know it has been a while- I have been a little caught up in life and much to my chagrin have not taken pictures in forever. Well Ari turned 2 on the 10th so in honor of him, here is his 2 yr pictures.

Wish I hadn't cut off Ari's toes on this one: He was so sleepy and was so sweet rubbing his eyes.

I am finally going back to work! I will continue to take portraits but at least we will now have 2 incomes again.

It only took 216 pictures to get one good one for focus. I am so happy w/ this camera... there is just a small learning curve to go from Nikon to Canon.

Well, I took my Nikon in to Precision camera to be evaluated and ended up coming home with the Canon 5D. What an awesome camera! I have played with it in the store several times now. Now I just have to wait for the 50 1.4 lens I purchased to get here- probably Wed and I can hardly wait. I wish I had enough money to rent a lens but I spent just about all I had to get the camera and warranty- so I will just have to be patient. I have been reading the manual front to back and can't wait to try it out. I will post my first pics with it- good or bad lol.

I sent the S5 back

after further testing I am still not happy with the S5 so I sent it back to B&H. I just didn't see any difference between my Nikon D100 and the S5.

My S5 is finally here, maybe it is because I didn't have much time to play with it but I am a bit disappointed that I don't see a big difference between the S5 and my D100, but I only got to play for a few minutes since I am taking care of 6 kids this week (my 4 and my niece and nephew who are out for spring break) Ari was in school today but Itai stayed home to play with his cousins so there were 5 here all day. I hope I have more time to play and explore all this camera has to offer. Here is one I took- pay no attention to the lighting... I was rushed putting up my lights because my Mom wanted me to take this picture. She found matching dresses for Seska and the girls. As usual this has only been resized and watermarked.

My laptop I have had for 3 yrs is about to pass away, at least the screen is. Just as I was going to work on buying a new camera. I am lusting after the Fuji S5 or the Canon 5D.

I haven't had a chance to take pictures today. I am trying to clean house as my sister in law from LA is coming to visit. I am proud to report that I did ask one of the fellow moms at my sons' daycare if I could take pictures of her 1 yr old. Meanwhile here's a picture from last week, I purchased a umbrella from Precision Camera, I can tell a difference in the quality of light:

I am a 34 yr old SAHM who has a passion for Photography. This blog is my quest to produce consistant quality images. I am Ima (mother in Hebrew) to 4 beautiful children- 4yr old Itai, 21mo old Ari, 5mo old twin girls Yael and Tamar. They are my main subjects right now. I hope to soon begin practicing on friends children and families. I will post images as I begin building my portfolio. These are my girls, Tamar is on the left and Yael on the right.
